Job Description
The Database Analyst Insights position requires an excellent collaborator, communicator, and analyst with solid hands-on-data and process management experience. The successful candidate is a problem solver in a fast moving and highly diverse environment and will be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and timeliness are not compromised. The Data Analyst Insights enjoys and thrives on data mining and analysis, and is capable of deriving insight and providing future recommendations based on data analysis.
- Montly Reporting/Custom Ad Hoc Reporting: Assist in the design of monthly reporting based on business objectives, campaign design and testing methodology. Using Excel, Access and in some cases SQL to retrieve and assemble data from multiple sources. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all data and reporting. Provide analysis of campaign reporting, including trends, anomalies, testing results and key insights. Develop and present actionable recommendations based on these findings.
- Quality Control and Continuous Process Improvement: Develop and/or maintain processes and procedures that assure flawless reporting and analysis of marketing campaigns. Maintain and improve on quality control standards.
- Presentation of Results: Be prepared to present findings at client meetings or over the phone
Qualifications
- BA or BS in a related field, MBA is a plus
- 3-5 years of analytical experience
- Experience with marketing, customer insight, and analytics.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of marketing database systems
- High proficiency in all MS Office products, especially Excel and Access. SAS & SQL is a plus.
- Experience in digital reporting also a plus, specifically Google Analytics, Omniture or Alterian experience is a bonus but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail. Ability to identify and diagnose data inconsistencies and errors. Reporting and analysis require data from multiple sources and require intense scrutiny of accuracy and reconcilability.
- Must love people as well as data. This position will interact and communicate with many different teams with varying understanding of data and analytics. Must be a strong communicator of complex concepts and analysis, with a wide variety of audience knowledge.
- Strong multi-tasking skills. Must be able to balance multiple analytical projects, partners, vendors and timelines. Ability to reprioritize, seamlessly communicating the required changes and impacts to all affected parties.
