The Bindery Operator is responsible for ensuring that production goals are met by providing accurate and timely finishing of quality products for our clients. The activities carried out within the department include; cutting, folding, die cutting, saddle stitching, drilling, padding and scoring. The bindery Operator provides both the final finishing steps on many products, as well as intermediate finishing (cutting, folding, etc.) on products that are finished in other departments. We will provide on-the-job training for this role.

  • Operate bindery equipment in a manner that meets our safety, quality and production standards
  • Setup machines to meet specifications according to the job ticket provided

Benefit Administration

  • Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in the payroll system for payroll deduction.

  • Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
  • Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation. Review monthly unemployment statements.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation claims with a third-party administrator. Follow up on claims.
  • Assist manager in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans that benefit the company.
  • Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
  • Prepare and maintain biweekly employee reports, new-hire and absentee reports. other requested reports as needed.
  • Assist manager in completing benefits reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate disability, personal, medical, military, and family leaves of absences in accordance with federal/state laws and in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed for assigned functions including workers' compensation, OSHA, file maintenance, etc.
  • Participate internal safety committee administration and implement initiatives to improve the safety of the workforce, as assigned.
  • Participate in the administration of open enrollment.

  • Maintain HIPAA compliance.

Other Duties:

Second Press Operator 1st & 3rd shift Columbus

Baesman Group. Inc. has an excellent opportunity for someone with NO EXPERIENCE but has the desire to start in a role that leads to a career in printing. We are currently looking for an Offset Second Press Operator for our first & third shift operations. This position is responsible for the timely and cost-effective production of quality printed materials by acting as a feeder operator in conjunction with a team leader on any of the printing presses. Must be hardworking and willing to learn. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and regularly move/lift up to 50 pounds.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  •  Perform assigned activity to produce a completed job, ensure the completion of the job with respect to company quality and quantity standards.
  • Assist Press Operator in set-up of machines.
  •  Obtain supplies needed for setups and correct material allocated to the present job.
  •  Determine material needs, fill out material request form and work with shipping department for staging.
  •  Review specs such as; Job Order, Print Master, Proofs, and Samples.
  •  Participate in cleaning and maintenance work on machines.
  • Load paper stock and maintain feeder operations.

  • Add ink to ink reservoir to maintain a specified level.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork.
  • Follow and comply with all safety rules, work rules, and regulations.
  •  Maintain good housekeeping in assigned work area and throughout the department work space.
  •  Must be willing to take direction from the pressman in a team environment.
  •  Other duties as assigned.

Senior Accountant Columbus

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial close including Financial statements, journal entries, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, ad-hoc analysis, etc. The successful candidate will also assist in the collection of pertinent information for third-party audits and tax returns.

 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare accounting related entries related to various source reports, journals, and registers.
  • Perform the processing of monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, setup, and monthly maintenance of fixed assets, including depreciation and the recording of adjusting and reclassification entries.
  • Assist with the month-end accounting process including preparation of financial reporting package.
  • Perform general account analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, employer’s benefit costs, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information, pricing, customer information, and other sensitive and confidential information.
  • Review customer billing and job costs for accuracy.
  • Manage assigned projects by prioritizing work to meet established deadlines and ensuring that accounting objectives are accomplished while keeping the VP of Finance informed of project status and issues identified.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting efficiencies and drive projects to completion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5 years solid accounting experience or 8 – 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of general financial and accounting principles
  • Willingness to help with all aspects of Company Operations
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Extremely efficient with ability to problem solve
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced business
  • Cost Accounting and internal auditing experience a plus
  • Print or manufacturing experience a plus
