The Digital Print Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of a full range of digital print equipment, including Ricoh 9210, 8220 and 7210X and OCE Titan 6180. This individual must be able to stand for long periods of time and regularly move/lift up to 50 pounds.

Run all digital imaging devices effectively, including:

  • Programming the machine to effectively run the jobs presented
  • Load, unload, and clear jams on the machine to keep it operating

We will provide on-the-job training for this role.

  • Setup machines to meet specifications according to the job ticket provided
  • Refer to the job ticket to locate important information to ensure job accuracy

Working under the supervision of the Lettershop manager, the Inserter/Ink Jet Operator is responsible for setup, production output volume and overall quality of inserted material. We provide on-the-job training for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and operation of inserting and inkjet mail equipment
  • Read instructions on job ticket and set up machines based on instructions
  • Troubleshoot with ability to maintain and identify repairs of equipment
  • Ability to tray mail, band mail trays and sort (keep in zip code order)
  • Ability to read postal statements and sort mail accordingly
  • Perform quality control during runs to ensure product meets USPS requirements
  • Ability to stage work product and keep area organized
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must be able to read and understand a job ticket, adhere to safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Second Press Operator 3rd shift Hilliard
Baesman Group. Inc. has an excellent opportunity for someone with NO EXPERIENCE but has the desire to start in a role that leads to a career in printing. We are currently looking for an Offset Second Press Operator for our first shift operations. This position is responsible for the timely and cost-effective production of quality printed materials by acting as a feeder operator in conjunction with a team leader on any of the printing presses. Must be hardworking and willing to learn. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and regularly move/lift up to 50 pounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned activity to produce a completed job, ensure the completion of the job with respect to company quality and quantity standards.
  • Assist Press Operator in set-up of machines
  • Obtain supplies needed for setups and correct material allocated to the present job
  • Determine material needs, fill out material request form and work with shipping department for staging
  • Review specs such as; Job Order, Print Master, Proofs, and Samples
  •  Participate in cleaning and maintenance work on machines
  •  Load paper stock and maintain feeder operations
  •  Add ink to ink reservoir to maintain a specified level.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork
  • Follow and comply with all safety rules, work rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in assigned work area and throughout the department work space.
  • Must be willing to take direction from the pressman in a team environment
  • Other duties as assigned.
